Pastoral Letter - Lent Season
The season of Lent is upon us once more, a season which coincides with springtime and the rebirth of nature and new life which we see all around us. The Church also desires that each of us grow spiritually and experience a reawakening of our relationship with God during the forty days of Lent, which culminate at Easter with the Lord’s passion, death and resurrection.
This year, I encourage you to look at two important topic. Sundays during lent we will look at sermon series on - "Facing Fears in Christian Life." Special service during Lent on Wednesdays we will look at "Understanding Basics in Church: Why We Do What We Do." Pray and grasp why we still need to retain these forty days as something very special, without which our relationship with Jesus never can be what it should.
I find one of the positive things about Lent is that it gives us a measurable amount of time to witness growth in our own lives and in that of our congregations. Throughout the whole six week period let us concentrate on prayer – both corporately and especially individually.

The Church’s one foundation is Jesus Christ. It exists to promote and cherish the word of God as enshrined in the Holy Scriptures and to make known God’s call to Christian Living, to foster unity and accord among all Christians and to invite them into worship, fellowship, membership and to equip them for Christian Ministry and Evangelism.
